The Prisma Health- Upstate/University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville- Family Medicine Residency is a three-year ACGME accredited program established in 1971 and located in Greenville, South Carolina. Our program is designed to provide comprehensive, high-quality family medicine education with the goal of transforming health care for the people we serve. Upon program completion, our residents are prepared to practice in a variety of settings (academic, urban, community or rural), care for a diverse patient population, and pursue advanced fellowship opportunities. As a residency embedded within an academic health center, we have the opportunity to care for patients with a wide spectrum of disease in collaboration with supportive subspecialist colleagues who also educate our residents. By nature of being a part of a larger academic team, our graduates have access to a variety of elective opportunities within our healthcare system as a part of their residency education.
