Ranked among the top 20 U.S. neurology departments by U.S. News & World Report, UT Southwestern’s Department of Neurology offers rigorous training for future neurologists. Our ACGME-accredited, categorical, four-year Adult Neurology residency program selects eleven residents annually, who collaborate with peers in Neurology-Psychiatry, Child Neurology, and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Our Neuro-Psychiatry program, one of only four in the nation, offers unique training opportunities. Trainees are mentored by over 100 subspecialty faculty, with one in four leading federally funded research programs integrating discovery into education. With accredited fellowships in eleven subspecialties, we’re committed to the growth and success of our trainees, who typically pursue prestigious fellowships, with over 90% doing so since 2017. Residents have the freedom to explore and develop their individual interests, preparing for successful careers in academia and beyond. Our partnership with the Peter O'Donnell Brain Institute amplifies the opportunities available, enhancing clinical activities, education, and research.
