Since our accreditation in 1959, the University of Florida pediatric residency program has welcomed more than 900 residents to our UF family. Ranked in the Top 20 public medical schools in the nation, our environment of academic excellence provides residents a rich opportunity to learn, collaborate and network. Our clinical programs are based at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s best children’s hospitals. Our exceptional reputation enables our trainees to lead in national organizations, participate in leading-edge research, and secure prestigious fellowships and faculty appointments. We are proud to offer five residency tracks in primary care, public health, global health, medical education and research as a way to individualize the educational opportunities of our learners.
