Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program · Cleveland, OH
Come for the world-class training, stay for the culture of camaraderie. Since 1959, Case Western/University Hospitals has been proud to train some of the finest orthopaedic surgeons in the world and many of the leading voices among orthopaedic surgeons. Our program offers a blend of "blue collar" and "white collar" training —featuring two Level I trauma centers, a fully independent children's hospital, a VA hospital, and a network of community hospitals. Our faculty includes nationally and internationally recognized experts across every orthopaedic specialty. Residents are central to shaping our program, with meaningful input and leadership at every level. A protected “Intern Month” kicks off training with a strong foundation in orthopaedic principles and teamwork. Chief residents take part in international elective rotations, and leadership is offered as a parallel curriculum. With robust simulation and cadaver labs, early hands-on experience, high case volume, and exposure to diverse complexities, we prepare our residents to become not just excellent surgeons, but compassionate, talented leaders
