The pediatric training at the University of Missouri will prepare you for whatever it is that you hope to do in your career. Our Mission Statement: To train leaders in pediatric medicine through exemplary education, innovative research, patient-centered care of Missouri's children, and advocacy for the health of all children. Our residents receive individual mentorship and career guidance from our dedicated faculty. We offer a robust academic half-day didactic program, which includes simulations and interactive board preparation, in addition to class retreats and resident-led wellness outings. We offer an Advocacy Track in addition to our new Health-Informatics Track, allowing for the completion of an M.S. Health Informatics degree during the three years of pediatric training. Our graduates have succeeded in attaining post-graduate positions in primary care, pediatric hospital medicine, and the fellowship match. Your three years spent at MU will be rewarding from both a personal and professional point of view.
