Internal Medicine Residency Program · Columbus, OH
The Ohio State University Department of Internal Medicine sees some of the most medically complex cases in Ohio and neighboring states, and the volume of patients we treat gives each resident a diverse training experience. We’re the largest department at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading academic health centers. All of our regular and primary care first-year residents have a scheduled block for research projects to help jump-start preparation for fellowship or career. We provide options for a regular categorical track, a primary care track, a Physician-Scientist Training Program, a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency and an Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine combined residency. Our leadership curriculum gives each resident skills for navigating the nuanced challenges doctors face throughout their careers. Dedicated to maintaining a culture of wellness, we ensure that our residents can enjoy life outside of medicine.
