Urology Residency Program · New York, NY
The Department of Urology at Lenox Hill Hospital provides a unique training environment with a combination of full-time, academic and private, volunteer faculty. Although the faculty come from many different professional backgrounds and practices, they function together to provide a well-rounded experience. In many ways, this mirrors our unique hospital setting as a community, acute-care hospital serving a socioeconomically and ethnically diverse population from the entire New York metropolitan area within a larger, academic medical center. Our Urology program strives to provide a strong academic learning environment promoting clinical research and providing state-of-the art care in the outpatient and inpatient settings, while also developing the importance of community wellness and outreach and an understanding of the social determinants of health. At the completion of residency training, residents should have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of urologic care, technical skills and expertise to perform all common urologic procedures, expertise in interpretation of clinical and research data and a compassionate, professional approach to patient care.
