The Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mayo Clinic in Arizona provides clinical training in a dynamic department where faculty members are passionate and recognized for teaching. Our experienced faculty includes numerous mid-career residency program leaders from other top-tier institutions. In addition, there are many unique aspects of the program designed to prepare residents for a career in academic radiology or private practice. These special features include hands-on ''business of radiology'' training achieved via integration of each resident at the outset of training into an operational team focused on delivering high-quality subspecialized care with monitoring of financial and productivity metrics. A specially designed curriculum and thorough conference schedule ensure that each resident is amply prepared for board examinations. In addition, a full year of elective time is built in to enable pursuit of specific clinical and research interests, including Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR).
