A Miami native, Dr. Sanchez graduated from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School and earned his bachelor's degree at Florida International University. He earned his MD/MBA degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine and Davenport University Donald W. Maine College of Business and completed a postdoctoral surgical research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida under the mentorship of Dr. Raul Rosenthal. He pursued general surgery residency training at Yale University School of Medicine affiliate Saint Mary's Hospital, the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago, and HCA Florida Kendall Hospital.
Dr. Sanchez has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and book chapters, with presentations of original research at regional and national forums, including the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery Annual Symposium. He has contributed to medical education as a graduate teaching assistant in five disciplines and through clinical mentorship of residents and medical students. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Wound Management and a fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists and seeks to contribute to advancing wound care practice through clinical innovation, research collaboration, and the development of high-quality educational programs.
