  • Professor and Chief, Cerebrovascular/Neurointerventional SurgeryCurrent research interests include imaging & intervention for stroke, carotid stenosis, cerebral aneurysms/AVMs, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and trigeminal neuralgia, with over 250 peer-reviewed papers, abstracts and book chapters published to date.2016 - Present
  • Graduate StudentPhD in cerebral vasospasm from the University of Chicago. My work demonstrated downregulation of potassium channels in subarachnoid hemorrhage (both functionally and at transcription level), leading to prolonged depolarization and thus contraction of vascular smooth muscle cells of cerebral arteries1999 - 2003
