I am a first-year internal medicine resident at the UTSW medical center. I am interested in pursuing a career at the intersections of oncology, palliative medicine, and public health.

During medical school, I served as a student leader at a local community free clinic and conducted research on symptom burden in patients with advanced cancer as well as predictors of rapid metastatic disease in patients with early-stage lung cancer.

Before medical school, I completed an AmeriCorps service year with the National Health Corps at the same community free clinic I volunteered at through medical school. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Pittsburgh where I majored in the History & Philosophy of Science and Biological Sciences.

Insulin Costs and Low-Income Patients

Many patients with diabetes rely on insulin to survive yet struggle to afford it even with health insurance coverage.

This scholarship supports working students

The award provides $12,500 in tuition support to sophomore students who work full or part-time to support themselves through college.
