Summary

  • I am a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon and provide a full range of consultative, diagnostic, and therapeutic services involving surgery for patients with diseases of the small bowel, colon, rectum, and anus.

    I have a major interest in laparoscopic and other minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of colon and rectal diseases, including cancer. and have extensive experience teaching laparoscopic colon surgery to surgeons throughout the United States and abroad.

    Using leading-edge technology, including the da Vinci robot, help provide state-of-the-art treatments to benefit patients. Expertise encompasses the management of colon, rectal, and anal cancer, diverticulitis, familial polyposis, chronic ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, ileoanal reservoir (J-pouch), colon polyps, incontinence, prolapse, anorectal abscess, fistula, fissure, and hemorrhoids.
    Currently, I serve as Director of Surgical Services as well as Director of Colorectal Surgical Services at Huntington Hospital in Huntington, NY. also the Vice Chair of Surgical Strategic Initiatives for the North Shore-LIJ Health System’s Eastern/Suffolk Region. and Faculty at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine at Hofstra University, as Professor of Surgery.
