Summary

  • I am a board certified pediatrician with 8 years of post-residency experience. I completed my clinical training at Miami Children's Hospital (now Nicklaus Children's Hospital). I also completed a fellowship program in Integrative Medicine through University of Arizona. I have a strong interest in applying my skills in a way that helps patients who require specialized care, in particular, children and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, obesity, chronic illness or chronic pain. I aim to include the parent-child diad/triad/blended family interaction to the health visit in order to promote patient care. I enjoy communicating with families and I do think I am able to help make confusing topics such as a new diagnosis or a treatment plan understandable. I also find that I am able to connect well to new parents who understandably often need a little extra tenderness. Due to this and my friendly manner, I have had a lot of success with patient retention.
In addition, I also enjoy teaching. It has been my pleasure to instruct residents, physician assistant students, medical students as well as pre-medical students over the last eight years. Looking forward, I would love to move into a leadership role and expand upon my integrative and osteopathic manipulative medicine skills as well as my interest in physician wellness and teaching. It is such an exciting time to be a physician. I feel privileged to experience an era in which astonishing advances in proteomics, epigenetics, and stem cell therapy can coexist harmoniously with nutrition, prevention, patient wellness and good old fashioned 'doctoring.'
