He is an Expert in the field of Spine surgery and has trained in all aspects of the specialty with many esteemed mentors in orthopedic and neurosurgical spine, Including endoscopic spinal surgery, minimally invasive spinal surgery and complex spinal deformities both in adults and pediatrics.
After completing his basic orthopedic residency training, Dr. Maziad completed multiple spine surgery fellowships at many prestigious US institutions. Including minimally invasive spine surgery fellowship at the University of Boston Medical center, managing degenerative spinal conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine, Fellowship in endoscopic spinal surgery at California spine institute as well as advanced deformity and complex spine fellowship in adults and pediatrics at the world renowned Hospital For Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City (Consistently Ranked #1 in Orthopedics & Spine in the Nation by US News and World Report) as well as University of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. He also completed a Spine fellowship at Beaumont Health system in Michigan which included a broad exposure to various spinal conditions including cervical, lumbar and thoracic pathologies, spine trauma, tumors and infections.
Along with his clinical activities, Dr. Maziad received a Masters and a PhD degree in orthopedic surgery and has participated in a large number of publications, book chapters and international meetings and courses.
He received multiple awards and recognitions and continues to be an active member of the spine community. He is a member of multiple scientific societies including American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) & AO-Spine Foundation.
Dr. Maziad also has a big interest in philanthropic activities & spine mission trips to Africa.
Dr. Maziad is accepting adult and pediatric patients with various spinal conditions.
