He has brought those skills to some of the world’s largest companies and well-known brands, on-profit and mission-driven organizations, urban and rural care delivery systems, multi-state provider networks, and government.
  
  Dr. Merahn is a physician by training, but also an artist, craftsman, educator, and parent. His work has always taken place at boundaries between diverse, and not always apparently related, disciplines. An intellectual adventurer, his interest in medicine was less about a calling as a clinician and more about a deep desire to understand the human experience and passion for human service: mastering the complexities of humanness afforded him a level of understanding and skills which supported his goal to help people realize their full potential, improve the human condition, and elevate civil society.
