Overview of Dr. Karp
Adam Karp, MD, is a neurologist based in Valhalla, NY, who subspecializes in Neurohospitalist Medicine and Vascular Neurology with special interest in medical education. Dr. Karp completed his medical education at New York Medical College, where recognition included a Department of Neurology Academic Award. He continued his training with an internship in Internal Medicine at LIJ Forest Hills Hospital and Neurology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Karp then completed his fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Currently, Dr. Karp serves as a Vascular Neurologist and Neurohospitalist at Westchester Medical Center and as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at New York Medical College. Dr Karp is a dedicated educator additionally serving as Course Director of Brain and Behavior and Assistant Neurology Clerkship Director at New York Medical College as well as Vascular Neurology Fellowship Associate Program Director at Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Karp's clinical expertise spans vascular neurology, stroke, vascular/interventional radiology, neurorehabilitation, and neurohospitalist care. Dr. Karp is actively involved in research with several recent publications related to innovations in medical education, advanced stroke care, AI utilization in patient care and education, and advancements in neurologic practice.
