  • Dr. Adam Schickedanz is a pediatrician Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar alumnus at UCLA in the Department of Pediatrics. Adam Schickedanz' research focuses on social determinants of health in children and families, particularly with respect to financial hardship and its influence on child health and parent well-being.

    Adam Schickedanz practices pediatrics in Los Angeles. He trained in San Francisco at the University of California San Francisco, where he was a chief resident after completing his pediatrics residency.

    Dr. Adam Schickedanz currently oversees a trial of a community-based financial empowerment intervention to examine its impact on parent and family health and well-being. This study builds on work Dr. Schickedanz did to develop the first Medical-Financial Partnership, the Financial Fitness Clinic at San Francisco General Hospital.

    Adam is also a doctoral student in Health Policy and Management at UCLA, where he continues to research the impact of childhood adversity on health system costs and intergenerational transmission of health risk.
