Summary
- I am a clinical instructor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Texas Children's Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. I am passionate about health disparities, advocacy, narrative medicine, hemoglobinopathies, and implementation science. My research is an effort to understand how we can safely & appropriately expand curative therapy for hematology pathologies to Sub-Saharan Africa (currently supported by an ASH HIPFA). Outside of the hospital, I teach narrative medicine & write poetry, short stories, flash fiction and procrastinate on my emerging novel. In my spare time, I blog: https://stilettosplusstethoscopes.wordpress.com
