- Dr. Albert Shaw is Professor of Medicine in the Section of Infectious Diseases at Yale School of Medicine. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School and PhD in Genetics from Harvard University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Disease at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has a longstanding research interest in understanding mechanisms underlying age-associated alterations in the human immune response and in elucidating immunologic and gene expression signatures of vaccine response in older and frail older adults. Other research interests include circadian regulation of immune responses and immune dysfunction in patients with sickle cell disease.
