    He developed a passion for pediatric hematology and oncology during his undergraduate years at the University of Utah while working as a health unit coordinator for the pediatric immunocompromised care services unit at the Primary Children's Medical Center and simultaneously researching for a novel treatment for T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City.

    He received an Honors Bachelors of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School. He served as Pediatric Chief Resident for Rutgers University NJMS as well as Hackensack University Medical Center following completion of his pediatric residency. He pursued his fellowship training in pediatric hematology-oncology at the University of Miami - Jackson Memorial Hospital/Holtz Children's Hospital.

    He is experienced in pediatric cancers and pediatric blood-related diseases. He joined the faculty of the department of pediatrics at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2020. He is heavily involved in undergraduate and graduate medical education and is a sub-investigator of multiple clinical trials.
