Summary

• I am board-certified in general surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric surgery. Recently, I have served as the Chief of Surgery at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Currently, I am the Director of Inova Bariatric Surgery, a bariatric Center of Excellence. I joined Inova Medical Group in 2015 as the Director of Bariatric Surgery with over 14 years of experience.
  
  I have focused and have performed numerous advanced bariatric procedures, including laparoscopic Roux en Y gastric bypass, laparoscopic sleeve gasterectomy, laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding procedures and revisional bariatric surgery. In addition I have extensive experience with DaVinci robotic surgery. I became interested in weight loss surgery during my training at Georgetown University Hospital. After undergoing training in the field of advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery, my main focus became bettering the lives of those suffering with long-term obesity. Since 2003, I have been working exclusively with morbidly obese individuals and helping them resolve their co-morbid conditions and improving their quality of life. My team and I believe in a multi-disciplinary approach to weight loss with ongoing support from the surgeons, dietitians, psychologists, and exercise specialists. My goal is to ensure that prospective patients proceed, well informed, with this life changing experience in a seamless, convenient, and most importantly, safe manner.
  
  As a native Washingtonian, I reside in Mclean, Virginia, with my wife and two children.
