Overview of  Dr. Shannon

Dr. Brett Shannon is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in pediatric orthopedics, currently practicing at Nemours Children's Hospital in Delaware since 2020. Dr. Shannon completed a medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2014 and a residency in orthopedic surgery there from 2014 to 2019. A fellowship in pediatric orthopedics was completed at Boston Children's Hospital from 2019 to 2020. Dr. Shannon has expertise in scoliosis, including idiopathic and congenital types, and pediatric fracture management. Publications include works on scoliosis correction and surgical considerations for teenagers, among others. Dr. Shannon has regularly been named a top pediatric orthopedic surgeon by Main Line Today Magazine since 2021.
