Summary

• I recently retired from General Pediatrics/NICU/PICU but still do volunteer work in a number of places including Guam and Mongolia. After working for 40 years and being on call an average of every 3rd night for 40 years it wore me out and that was what led me to finally retire. (It took me more than a year to get the dreaded feeling of impending night call out of my system!) I also loved the outpatient part of pediatrics and do miss the rewards of caring for my patients a lot. But I am doing some things in my life that had been squeezed out for so many years so I still feel happy and fulfilled.
