Summary

Dr. Clyde Schechter is a preventive medicine specialist based in Bronx, NY with subspecialties in public health and general preventive medicine. He graduated from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1976 and completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Currently, Dr. Schechter is a professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a position he has held since 2000. His areas of expertise include breast cancer prevention and control, general preventive medicine, patient safety, and health outcomes research.

He served as a member of the American Board of Preventive Medicine from 2001 to 2010, and was its Chair from 2007 to 2010. He also served on the ACGME's Residency Review Committee for Preventive Medicine from 2005to 2011, and was the committee's vice-chair from 2007 to 2011.
