Summary

  • I am an MD, PhD trained in diagnostic radiology, with subspecialty in breast/body imaging. I am passionate about womens' health and preventative care. I have knowledge in all aspects of women’s imaging including mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and tomography, in addition to breast procedures guided by these modalities. I completed my clinical fellowship at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and a PhD in the field of imaging and cancer therapy. My research focused on the engineering of recombinant vaccinia viruses that not only target cancer but also enable noninvasive imaging, which led to several published articles and presentations at international meetings. Protocols are currently underway for clinical trials with these viruses. More recently, I have been interested in improving the way we continue to establish value-based imaging and improve the impact of breast screening. I am therefore very aware of, and interested in, the importance of economics, business and management in radiology, and have completed courses in the business of radiology through the Radiology Leadership Institue, affiliated with Harvard Business School. More recently at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, I investigated the use of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging of breast cancer, aiming to further understand tumor heterogeneity and identify possible risk predictors of breast cancer. I have also had the honor of contributing several review articles and serving as a peer reviewer for multiple journals. I am personally committed to medical research and teaching, with which - together with my clinical experience - I hope to continue to advance our field in order to benefit science and our patients.
