  • Dr. Richardson, a Banneker Scholar at the University of Maryland College Park, received an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. He presented, “Arts Medicine for Musicians” (repetitive injury syndromes) in Rehabilitation Grand Rounds while working at the NIH. At the National Orthopedic Hospital in Arlington Virginia, his work mainly involved fire fighter exams and assisting with 4-6 GXTs daily. He earned his MD from Spartan Health Sciences University and Family Practice Residency at the University of Florida Shands Jacksonville. Elective rotations included pain management, Occ Med, neurology and orthopedics. Dr. Richardson received a resident’s Dean’s grant for a research proposal, “Back to Work” which found NSAIDs to be superior to Narcotics with muscle relaxers in terms of return to work for Back Pain without structural derangements. Dr. Richardson has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Wellness and the clients included Fannie Mae, NIST, The Bureau of Engraving & National Gas Pipelines of America. For NGPL he provided PFTs, audiometer and hearing conservation training for 50 natural gas pumping stations from Illinois to Texas. During the past 15 his experiences included DOT, maritime, dive, US military, fire, police exams and Teleme. More recently, in Urgent Care, the quality of his Patient Care resulted in the one of the highest customer service scores in a multi-state Urgent Care company. As the VP of Patient Care and Integration Dr. Richardson’s work with Urgent Care partners involves assisting hospital executives in understanding a spectrum of benefits for implementing modern urgent care from a medical perspective. Additionally as Medical Director, and a subject matter expert, interviewing/training providers and introducing new clients to Urgent Care Partners. In his position as Director of Occupation Medicine for a group of Urgent Care Centers on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, he has been tasked with expanding the Occ Med business and scope of services.
