Summary

  • I had a stroke in February 2018, during the Superbowl which was probably due to an arrhythmia. I was bradycardic and now have a pacemaker. Unfortunately, my stroke resulted in a permanent visual deficit, but only in a peripheral field. I was forced to immediately retire from my surgical practice, but only for medicolegal reasons. Fortunately, I can lead a normal life, and build and drive high-performance automobiles, and spend time with my wonderful wife.
