• Dr. Ella Bowman is a geriatrics specialist based in Portland, OR, with subspecialties in hospice and palliative medicine. She completed her fellowship in geriatric medicine and her residency in internal medicine at Ascension St Vincent Hospital Indianapolis. She is currently the William A. Whitsell Endowed Professor of Geriatric Medicine and Medical Director of Inpatient Geriatrics at Oregon Health & Science University where her clinical practice focuses on vulnerable hospitalized older patients. Previously Dr. Bowman served as Section Chief of Geriatrics, Acute and Specialty Medicine at Birmingham VA Medical Center from 2015-2023 and was an Assistant Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine from 2006-2015 where she received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance for her practice and medical home from 2012 to 2015.
