He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and his extensive career also includes positions as a telehealth consultant for Teladoc, where he helped lead the effort to change legislation in Texas to allow telemedicine to be practiced, and held a past role as Chief Medical Information Officer at Triad Hospitals, Inc., which prior to it acquisition by Community Health, was the 3rd largest investor owned hospital system in the US.
