• Dr. Frederick D. Scott is a board-certified hand surgeon and orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Scott was drawn to the field of orthopedics because of the dramatic impact surgery can have on his patients' quality of life. After earning a BS in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, he received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he met his wife when they were partners in anatomy lab. Dr. Scott chose hand surgery because of the variety of cases and conditions involved, including treating traumatic injuries such as fractures, restoring ruptured tendons, and treating nerve and blood vessel injuries.
