As a Senior Research Scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he investigates molecular mechanisms underlying clonal hematopoiesis to identify synthetic lethalities. Dr. Elias completed his hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center and his Internal medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His clinical expertise in myelodysplastic syndromes, bone marrow failure, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation directly informs his translational research program. His work has been published in journals including Nature, Nature Medicine, Cell Stem Cell, and Blood.
