• Dr. Hua J. Lu is a Harvard-trained internist and nephrologist with more than two decades of experience in academic medicine, clinical care, medical education, and physician-scientist research. She completed her nephrology fellowship at Mass General Brigham and her internal medicine residency at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
  Dr. Lu has distinguished herself as a clinician, educator, and physician-scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS). Her research has been published extensively in leading scientific journals and has been supported by numerous competitive NIH grants, including multiple R01 awards. She has also received distinguished research grants from organizations, including the American Heart Association, American Physiological Society, and NephCure Foundation. Her contributions to medicine and research have been recognized with multiple faculty awards from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. In 2018, she was promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
  
  Throughout her career, Dr. Lu has cared for thousands of patients across the full spectrum of internal medicine — from preventive care to complex cardiovascular and kidney disease. She also served as Medical Director of Renal Services at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
