Summary

• I am Chief Medical Officer for Children First Medical Group IPA, a 550 physician IPA, serving 50,000 managed MediCal children in two San Francisco East Bay counties. We are a community affiliate of UCSF Benioff Childrens Hospital Oakland and Stanford Childrens. I have previously been Chief Medical Officer for United Healthcare Northern California, an IPA regional medical director, and an IPA board member, in which capacities I have gained experience in strategic planning, finance, network development and credentialing/peer review, oversight of medical directors and care management teams, population health, complex case management and disease management, quality improvement, and utilization management.
  
  In addition, I have 25-years of entrepreneurial executive and medical management experience in federal, public, private and venture capital sectors, first as Chief of Service for hospital service lines, then as CEO or Principal of several healthcare ventures, each envisioned to improve the health of our community and the viability of our provider base.
