Summary

  • Jim has devoted his professional career to community psychiatry, in particular to co-occurring substance use and psychiatric disorders; race- and class-based health disparities; and the mental health consequences of climate change. He received his medical degree from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 1990 before moving to Boston for psychiatry residency training. He is a Lecturer on Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, where he has been a faculty member since 1996.
