Research History

  • UTMB Stevenson-Saldarriaga Lab: Resident ResearcherWorked on several projects regarding non-parenchymal liver cells, including resident/recruited macrophages, stellate cells, and liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs) and their role in chronic liver diseases, including MASLD/MASH, ALD, and HCV. Findings presented at AASLD 2023 and ISHSR 2024.2021 - 2025
  • UTMB Kueht Lab: Resident ResearcherPilot project using hand-held spectrophotometry to rapidly assess macrovesicular steatosis in autopsy liver samples that were then compared to histological analysis. Results allowed for the program to progress to donor organ procurements. Results presented at AASLD 2022 and USCAP 2023.2021 - 2023
