After completing undergraduate studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dr. Erhart received his doctorate in medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed post-graduate medical training at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. After an internship in pediatrics, internal medicine and neurology, he completed a psychiatric residency and child psychiatry fellowship through the university’s Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Erhart is the Consulting Psychiatrist for the Monroe County and Wayne/Finger Lakes Board of Cooperative Education Services (BOCES), the Easter Seals (NY) Diagnostic and Treatment Clinic, and the Cerebral Palsy of Rochester Clinic, providing services to individuals with special needs, learning challenges, mental retardation and developmental disabilities. In 2000, Dr. Erhart co-founded founded The Montessori Intervention Programs Inc., a non-profit utilizing Montessori theory and practice for those with special needs.
