• Dr. Jordan Awerbach, MD, MPH, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist based in Phoenix, AZ, specializing in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD). He received his medical and public health degrees from Tulane University School of Medicine, and subsequent complete a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics resident at Duke University. He then did pediatric cardiology fellowship at Texas Children's/Baylor College of Medicine, following which he returned to Duke where he completed his ACHD fellowship. Dr. Awerbach is the Medical Director of the Stephen C. Grout Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program at Phoenix Children's Hospital, the largest ACHD program in Arizona and only Arizona program accredited as a Comprehensive Care Center by the Adult Congenital Heart Association. Dr. Awerbach's areas of expertise also include cardiac imaging including cardiac MRI, pulmonary hypertension, and pregnancy in women with cardiovascular disease. He has multiple research publications and has authored multiple chapters on ACHD care in major textbooks. Dr. Awerbach currently leads multiple committees through the American College of Cardiology, where he is involved in ACHD education and advocacy efforts.
