Overview of Dr. McHale

COL (R) Kathleen A. McHale, MD, FACS, FAAOS is a board-certified Orthopaedic surgeon with special expertise in expertise in pediatric orthopaedics and foot and ankle surgery. She is a graduate of Villanova University and Drexel University School of Medicine. Post-graduate surgical training was at Georgetown University, George Washington University, the Nuffield Infirmary of Oxford Univeristy with a Pediatric Orthopaedic fellowship at Childrens’ Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, DC. During a twenty-two-year Army career, COL (R) McHale served as the Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the Orthopaedic Residency Director, and the Orthopaedic Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Army. She deployed to Bosnia and Kosovo and lead re-building teams with the USAID and the International Medical Corps to Iraq. Currently, she is active in the selection process for Congressionally funded Wounded Warrior research. She has been an active participant in overseas medical missions. Dr. McHale serves as a Board Examiner with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has served on multiple committees for resident evaluation with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. She has multiple publications and has been a frequent speaker at national and international meetings.
