Summary
- I was a paramedic for 15 years prior to medical school and worked in this role in the DC Metro area as a fire-paramedic, and then in the Leesburg, VA and Flagstaff, AZ areas as a flight paramedic on medevac helicopters before deciding to go to medical school. I completed my undergraduate education at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ with my bachelor’s degree in Geology with an emphasis in Paleontology in 2017. I matriculated to medical school at the University of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ and graduated in 2021. I completed a categorical pediatric residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI in 2024. Presently I am completing my fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and my research areas of interest are broadly in the areas of respiratory failure and ARDS management, POCUS, and critical care transport medicine. Presently I am engaged in research of adolescents and young adults with respiratory failure who are admitted to the pediatric ICU in collaboration with Dr. Flori and Kohne. Our aim is to bring greater awareness to this patient population, address disparities in the guidelines which inform their care, and increase collaboration between pediatric and adult critical care medicine physicians who provide care to this population in the pediatric and adult ICU environs.
