• Kristin Van Hook, MD, is a pediatric pulmonologist and has been practicing at Ochsner Children's Hospital since 2012. She completed medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2000, followed by a residency in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital. Prior to her current role, she served as Section Chief at Nemours Children’s Clinic in Pensacola as well as the CMS Medical Director for Northwest Florida from 2006 until her move to New Orleans. She has contributed to the field with a publication on asthma screening in children in the Proceedings of the American Thoracic Society, which has been cited 29 times as well as serving as a section editor for the text Pediatric Pulmonology, Asthma, and Sleep Medicine: A Quick Reference Guide and co-editor in chief for the second edition of the AAP's Pediatric Pulmonology textbook.
