Summary
- Louis E. Kopolow, M.D., D.L.F.A.P.A., is Director of Potomac Grove Psychiatry, a multi-disciplinary private mental health group practice, one of the largest in the Washington, D.C., Suburban area. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and member of the American College of Psychiatrists. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Kopolow has been a principal investigator of research studies in depression, schizophrenia, anxiety and bipolar illness. He recently accepted chairmanship of the Services Committee of the Greater Washington Foundation for Physician Wellness( a group focused on combatting physician burnout) His clinical work includes individual, couple, group psychotherapy and stress management through medical hypnosis and EMDR.He is the author of a soon to be published book, : Maslow Matters: "Your Path to Self-Actualization and Happiness"
