Dr. Marcos Nores is a thoracic surgeon based in Boca Raton, FL, with subspecialties in adult cardiac, aortic, minimally invasive cardiac, and cardiovascular surgery. He completed his medical education at the University of Buenos Aires in 1989, followed by an internship, residency, and multiple fellowships, including a post-doctoral fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. He has served as the Medical Director at UK's King's Daughters Medical Center from 2008 to 2011. He also served as the Medical Director for the HCA East Florida, JFK hospital from 2011-2025 leading the service to become the busiest an and most comprehensive Structural and Cardiac Surgery Program in Palm Beach County.
Dr. Nores has experience in various surgical techniques, including transcatheter valve repair and replacement surgery, minimally invasive mitral valve repair. He is an expert in complex aortic root and aortic arch reconstruction with collaboration with Vascular Surgery. He has several publications in recognized journals and has been involved in multiple national clinical trials like the PARTNER 3 Trial. He has received CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Stage 2 Certifications from multiple organizations between 2014 and 2017.
