- Dr. Moyer is a full professor at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center in the Division of Gastroenterology and the Penn State Cancer Institute. He concentrates both clinically and in research on interventional endoscopy, gastrointestinal cancer, the development of innovative endoscopic techniques, and is recognized internationally as an expert on pancreatic cysts and EUS-guided chemoablation. Dr. Moyer has authored over 90 publications, regularly speaks at international conferences, and has been a co or principal investigator on multiple clinical trials including the principal investigator of the NIH funded CHARM II multi-center randomized clinical trial. His clinical practice centers on pancreatic and biliary disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and interventional endoscopy including ERCP, EUS, EUS-guided interventional techniques, EMR/ESD, and EUS-guided tumor ablation. He has received multiple awards including the recognition of his commitment to graduate medical education and trainee mentorship. Dr. Moyer lives with his family on the family farm just outside of Hershey PA and regularly staffs the Free Medical Clinic of the Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg, PA.
