- I am a retired internist, pulmonologist, and infectious disease specialist. My career included a short time in academic medicine at the University of Washington as an Assistant Professor, a 22 year clinical practice journey, and 15 years in administration as a VP for Medical Affairs at an physician owned insurance company, as CMO for a community hospital, and finally a medical director of a community hospice organization. I have the AMA lifetime achievement award as a finale to my career.
