Summary
- Michael Makary, MD, MBA, is a fellowship-trained pulmonary and critical care physician with Saint Luke's Pulmonary Specialists serving the Kansas City area. Since joining the practice in November 2022, he has taken on expanding leadership responsibilities within the Saint Luke's Health System.
In September 2024, Dr. Makary was appointed Department Chair of the Saint Luke's Physicians Group Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care, where he oversees critical care, pulmonary, interventional pulmonary, and sleep medicine sevices across four clinic and hospital locations. He additionally serves as Director of ICU and Respiratory Care at Saint Luke's East Hospital. Dr. Makary is an active member of both the Medical Executive Committee and the Peer Review Committee at Saint Luke's East Hospital.
