- Dr. Mihai Mititelu is an ophthalmologist based in Madison, WI, specializing in retinal diseases. He completed his medical education at Wake Forest School of Medicine and pursued further training through an internship at UPMC Medical Education and a residency in ophthalmology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he was Chief resident. He also completed an MPH at Tulane University and a fellowship in Diseases of the Retina and Vitreous at Northwestern University. Since 2013, he has been a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health. Dr. Mititelu has authored publications and book chapters focusing on retinal diseases such as geographic atrophy, autoimmune retinopathy and retinotoxic medications, and he serves as an active investigator in clinical trials for posterior segment diseases and oncologic conditions. He is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
