Dr. Namrata Vijayvergia is a specialist in Oncology based in Philadelphia, PA. She has a subspeciality in Gastrointestinal Cancer and has experience in the fields of hepatocellular carcinoma, amyloidosis, hematologic oncology, hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer, and lynch syndrome. Her education began at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, followed by her Internship and Residency at Temple University Hospital, after which she worked as Chief Resident and Instructor of Medicine. Dr. Vijayvergia has made significant contributions to medical publications, the latest of which appeared in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. She has also participated in clinical trials on pancreatic neuroendocrine and carcinoid tumors, as well as early rectal cancer. She is highly recognized, receiving several awards and honors throughout her career such as the NANETS Annual Symposium 2014 Travel Grant, National Pancreas Foundation Fellowship Symposium Travel Grant, and the MAF Award for Outstanding performance in Medical School.
