Summary

• Ndidi C. Okeke, M.D. graduated from the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery general surgery residency training program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2023. She joins a rich tradition of alumni surgeons who were trained at this nationally recognized program and have gone on to make surgical history. After a year working independently as a locum tenems Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon, she now continues her surgical training as a Trauma Surgical Critical Care fellow (2024-2026) and Burn Surgery Fellow (2025-2026) at UC Davis in Sacramento, CA where she will pursue clinical interests in trauma, burn surgery, surgical education, and health disparities in minorities.
  
  Prior to residency training, Dr. Okeke completed a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Sports Medicine at Rice University, one of the Top 20 colleges and universities in the United States. She then went on to obtain her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, a leading academic institution in its own right. Dr. Okeke has excelled in many aspects of her life and throughout her academic career. Her ambition and amicability have afforded her many positive experiences, with more opportunities to come.
