Summary

• I am a board certified Family Physician with a career spent serving the mountain resort towns of Colorado.
  
  My first career was at a critical access hospital in Estes Park, Colorado. My scope of practice included out-patient, inpatient, transitional and skilled nursing care from 2000 to 2008, with an emphasis on complex and geriatric patients. I chaired the EHR vendor selection, EHR implementation and Peer Review committees and served on the Medical Staff committee.
  
  In 2008 my wife, also a family physician, and I founded the Fraser Medical Clinic as a brand new 2 partner practice. What started as a truly one MD (no employee) shop has grown to a thriving outpatient family practice with 3 MDs and a great support staff. I love our clinic and staff, and the intervening years have provided me with an opportunity to rediscover pediatrics. As an independent practice owner I've enjoyed the requisite education in the business/entrepreneurial aspects of medical practice and the chance to do literally everything from website design to being the X-Ray technician in support of our clinic. Running the business has been an education in the financial issues faced by my patients that has transformed my practice style, and I've enjoyed a sense of kinship with other small business owners that I never expected.
