Summary

  • I’m Mostly LOOKING for LOCUMS, PART-TIME, VACATION, OR TELE-MEDICINE Work, and Hope to Start AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. (I May Be willing to accept a “Permanent,” Full-Time job IF it satisfies Many criteria.)
    I’m BOARD-ELIGIBLE, Child & Adolescent Fellowship-Trained, Comfortable with ALL AGES, and Have a Current License for ILLINOIS (and In-Active Licenses--for INDIANA and MISSOURI--that I’m told are easily re-activated). I CANNOT DO CONTINUOUS/Daily, Full-Time Coverage BEYOND a 2- Or 3-WEEK Span BUT Here’s What I CAN DO:

    •    Can Do OUT-PATIENT Work Up to 1-3 Days/Week Either Within a Reasonable Drive (60-90 Minutes) from Springfield, IL, OR As TELE-MEDICINE;
    •    Can Do OUT-PATIENT Work on Farther Drives (Over 90 Minutes) as 2-4 Days Every Other Week;
    •    Can Do (and have a Strong Preference for) IN-PATIENT LOCUMS Work, & Can Do Up to a 3-Week Stretch about 2-3 Times/Year;
    •    Can Do Up To TWO WEEKS/MONTH, almost Anywhere, as “7-14 On/7-14 Off;”
    •    Can Do 2 Weekends/Month Within Reasonable (1-4 Hour) Drive from Springfield, IL;
    •    Can Do 2-3 Days/Week of “ON-CALL COVERAGE” If it Can Be Done from (or Near) Home.

    For Positions Using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR or EHR), I Would Like to Know If the Facility or Myself Could Enlist a SCRIBE--to help me get Patient records finished on days full of distractions?? (I've learned to ask about this Up Front because some locums jobs have told me how "wonderful" their EMR system is, and I discover only too late that it's as tedious and time-consuming as most others I've had to use.)
    I have had: NO Suspensions, NO Revoked or Limited Licenses, and NO Malpractice Claims.
    IF I Look Like a Good Fit For Any Opportunity You Know About, Please LET ME KNOW Some of its Details. You may E-mail me (pgilod@gmail.com) Or TEXT my Assistant’s Cell Phone (217-691-2347). Thank You!
    --Gratefully yours,
    Patrick G. O'Donnell, M.D.
